The WinPhoS Research Group actively participated in the European Conference on Integrated Optics (ECIO 2026), held in Zurich, Switzerland, from 15–17 June 2026, contributing with one invited talk and two poster presentations.
🔊 The invited talk was delivered by Prof. Nikos Pleros, entitled "Photonics in Computing", highlighting recent advances in photonic computing.
📃 Poster presentation I
Mrs. Lamprini Damakoudi presented her poster titled "High-sensitivity Bimodal Plasmo-Photonic Biosensor for C-Reactive Protein Detection", showcasing a highly sensitive plasmo-photonic sensing platform for biomarker detection.
This work was supported by the European project AMBROSIA (no. 101093166).
📃 Poster presentation II
Mr. Panagiotis Zdoupas presented his poster titled "Record-High Sensitivity On-Chip Refractive Index Sensor using Twin-Plasmonic-Arm Silicon Photonic MZIs", introducing a novel silicon photonic Mach–Zehnder interferometer architecture that achieves record-high refractive index sensing performance.
This work was supported by the European project @AMBROSIA (no. 101093166).
